This is a great picture. There´s something about the cold but kind stare that´s intriquing me to look more closely in to her eyes... Maybe it´s just me, but this is your best photo. What´s the second white line on the shoulder? Has the person moved or what? Because there´s nothing like it anywhere else on the picture...

Yes, the halo on the shoulder is actually motion blur. Very strange, but it's in the raw file. At first, I thought I have missed something in post processing, but I was wrong. I used bounced flash and 1/13s shutter speed.

I like this piece. Somehow it gives me the impression of a photorealistic painting. Dunno why. Maybe it's the contrast and tone of the picture.

Paintings are one of my inspirations, so I like to create a mix between photo and painting/illustration in portraits. Actually, it is "painted" in photoshop on several layers.
